Starts on the top-up date, through the last service on the final day. No future-start top-up; these are not rolling 24-hour passes.

Enter the total for all planned pass-covered journeys during the selected period. Do not enter a daily or monthly average. Check the official service area first.

These buttons set an explicit choice. An existing usable card or suitable mobile option may need no new card. Check mobile identity requirements; a physical card is an alternative.

The same excluded cost is added to both plans. Blank leaves both full plan totals unknown. Airport-station boarding, bikes and Hangang buses are excluded; check all routes in the official guide.

Whole KRW from 0 to 999,999,999 per field; correctly grouped commas are accepted. This is a technical input limit. Blank means unknown; explicit 0 means a checked zero cost.

📖 How to Use This Tool
  1. Choose a current adult short-pass period. Enter the total regular fares for covered journeys over that whole period, not a daily or monthly average.
  2. Enter the additional card purchase cost explicitly. Add the same plan's excluded-journey costs if known; blank costs remain unknown.
  3. Check the official service area and confirm that every entry describes the same period and plan. Any cost or period change requires confirmation again.

Current short passes and the same-period comparison

The former prepaid 30-day card stopped accepting top-ups on August 31, 2026, and postpaid benefits ended on September 30. The 30-day scheme ended on October 1, 2026. This calculator uses current adult short passes: 1/2/3/5/7 days cost ₩5,000/₩8,000/₩10,000/₩15,000/₩20,000. These passes start on the top-up date and run by service-day boundaries through the last service on the final day; they are not rolling 24-hour × N products and cannot be topped up for a future start date.

From October 1, 2026, check eligibility against the official Seoul subway and Seoul-licensed bus service area. Incheon Airport T1/T2 alighting is a specific exception; boarding at those airport stations is excluded. Ttareungi bikes and Hangang buses are not included in these short passes. Put excluded journeys in X and check every route with the official guide.

For the same period and plan, eligible regular fares E are compared with pass price P plus the additional card cost C. The difference E − (P + C) is a potential eligible-cost saving when positive and an additional pass cost when negative. If excluded journeys X are known, full regular-fare cost is E + X and full pass cost is P + C + X. An unknown X leaves both full totals unknown, while the conditional eligible-cost difference can still be shown.

A new physical card costs ₩3,000 separately. Enter a checked 0 for an existing usable card or suitable mobile option; no card-cost value is assumed. Foreign visitors can buy short passes, but mobile identity-verification restrictions may require a physical alternative. Unregistered physical cards can be used, while refunds and lost-card handling have registration conditions.

The separate Climate Pass is a fare-reimbursement program with conditions including registered Seoul residence and age 19 or older. It is not the former fixed-price 30-day prepaid card. This calculator does not assess reimbursement eligibility, collect residence information or calculate monthly refunds, and it does not convert monthly spending into a short-pass period.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still compare a ₩62,000 or ₩65,000 30-day card?

The former 30-day scheme ended on October 1, 2026. This page compares current adult 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7-day passes with regular fares for the same planned period. Do not enter monthly spending as a short-period total.

Does a 1-day pass last 24 hours from my first ride?

No. Short passes start on the top-up date and use calendar service-day boundaries, ending after the final day's last service. They are not rolling 24-hour products, and future-start top-ups are not available.

What do I enter for card purchase and excluded journeys?

A new physical card costs ₩3,000 separately. Enter a checked 0 if no additional card purchase is needed. Enter excluded fares for the same plan separately, including explicit 0 when appropriate. Blank means unknown; an unknown excluded cost leaves both full plan totals unknown.

Does the pass include both airport directions, bicycles and all buses?

No. Check each journey in the official service-area guide. The current area covers Seoul subway services and Seoul-licensed buses, with an Incheon Airport T1/T2 alighting exception; boarding at those airport stations is excluded. Ttareungi bikes and Hangang buses are excluded.

Can foreign visitors use the short pass without registration?

Foreign visitors can buy short passes. Mobile identity-verification restrictions may require a physical card. A physical card can be topped up and used without registration, but registration conditions apply to refunds and lost-card handling.

Is the new Climate Pass the same prepaid monthly card?

No. It is a separate reimbursement program with conditions including registered Seoul residence and age 19 or older. This tool does not determine eligibility or calculate monthly refunds.
